Viktor Ruikovich (1907-2003)

To be born in Moscow in 1907 and to work magnificently creatively finely in 1997 - is it really possible? In summer 1997 V. Ruikovich on assignment from an editorial offices photographed Zvenigorod, where he spent his childhood.

He is one of the leading masters of the famous magazine "Soviet Union" famous, so to speak for its photo-essay, which current events captured of the country and epoch.  In the magazine worked a collective of the best photojournalists of USSR. "My teachers are first-class photographers. Alexander Rodchenko, Dmitry Debabov, Max Alpert, Abram Shterenberg and Georgy Petrysov", - tells Ruikovich.

Ruikovich was a special photo-correspondent of the war-front newspapers from November 41-s to may 1945-s.
In the 1970 his pre-war photos were destroyed by his editorial office.  In 1972 he was dismissed from the magazine "soviet union", because in Germany were published photos of three naked women, which were washed in a bath-house.
